Five day lilies today, only one pink one. They are precious.

Found another #daylily survivor this morning, what a treat. This is an "Abstract Orange," one of the new ones this year, which the deer *really* enjoyed. I thought we wouldn't get to see a single blossom once we got it home.
This was my favorite new one.

We are venturing out into the scorching and unrelenting heat shortly. Destination as yet, unidentified. There may well be cake.
The diet has been cancelled until further notice.

Summer is the time to make cyanotypes in the sun! This is a little 6” x 9” cyanotype of a day lily from my garden.
I kept a record of my day lilies last year. The first was 5 July, and this year the first bloomed on 9 July.
These two photos were taken with an even older phone - #SamsungGalaxy8 - which had been discontinued. The camera on it still works just fine.
I'm always the last of all my family & friends to upgrade any phone. I will use my old phones until they die or until they are lost & never found. I've never felt any need to get a new phone if my old one still works - it goes against my views of consumerism/capitalism. I've never had any FOMO feelings about phones or other digital stuff. I barely use any digital gadgets. I don't feel my life is incomplete without a bunch of those digital things that I don't truly need.

These are #EdibleFlowers - they don't have much taste but do add vibrant colour to green #salads.

Yes, I know it feels like the buffoons have made even more choices that will speed up the imminent demise of the human race, but, for now, just relax and focus on what you can control.

Meanwhile, here's a photo of a heritage #daylily from 1943 called Jean.
Quite simplistic compared to many modern ones, however, she is tall and graceful.
Good evening, what a day! Having just watered the essential bits of the garden, I have just rediscovered this wonderful #daylily that I had forgotten about.
May I present to you Topguns Aztec Vision (Scott B). Not a very tall one but very pretty markings and unusual colours.
