By the way, while #LOTRO's chat "bubble" system really does need bubbles around it, or a darker text shadow at least, I love the fact that #FFXIV are introducing it as some newly-inspired thing.

I enjoy both MMOs, but it feels good to be able to say "LOTRO did it first" sometimes.

Well, I managed to get the Astro storyline to L45. My least favourite #FFXIV job story ever (it's so negative). But Hal here needs to catch up.

I disliked the changes they brought to AST a while back, but it makes it a little easier to play. But I actually liked the things they removed or "simplified".

Right, I'm in too much pain, so heading back for meds and to try and calm my mind down a different way.

I'll be around tomorrow only if my pain is vaguely controlled.

I don't know what's going on with my health, except that it's getting worse right now.

I needed to catch up on my writing Patreon page after nearly a month of silence. Now I want a bit of time in #FFXIV, but nothing challenging.

I'm going to play my "second main" character, but can't be in Ishgard or Coerthas due to shoulder pain going to my head.

I'm truly #FedUp of #ChronicPain.

I've scheduled this to go out when the digital wizards say most people I follow are on various platforms.

But for any others who happen to be around now, I've done a #Patreon Crew-only update just now.

So I've had a really rubbish day. Energy's been totally sapped and I was late to my online meeting due to Zoom deciding it, and only it, couldn't see my webcam or hear my audio.

It took me ages to settle to rest time in #FFXIV too, because faffing with the audio earlier messed something up with my Bluetooth speakers. I'm on my earbuds right now, but I'd prefer my speakers.

So I'm just running Dzemael again with Squadron, because Aurum Value is PITA with squad mechanics.

I ended with checking whether my "second main" character in #FFXIV needed anything from the Moogle event and it's no. So I ran a Squadron dungeon on one of the healing classes that's still under L50.

I'd forgotten this character has some different members compared to my main.

Anyway, it's time for meds and sleep. And a cold remedy as I'm feeling rough on a few levels now.

It wouldn't win any prizes at a "beautiful pet" competition, but then again, Ali had never cared about what others thought about her choice of outfits.

Her dragon family was made up of all manner of types, origins and backgrounds.

Adoption is above loving those not born to you. And for dragons, she had plenty of love to share.

Well, I don't think that #Zoom's "touch up my appearance" would make me look like Ali below, so they'll just have to put up with the real, awkward, self-conscious, mostly-bald-and-hating-it me tomorrow.

At least if they remember to send me a meeting code.

Well, I've ticked stuff off today's to-do list. So I'm going to play some #FFXIV. Not sure yet whether I'll play Ali, or switch to my other Miqo'te for story.

It depends if I can get into the flow of other repeatable content or not.

It does *not* remove all VFX, but anything full screen & flashy, strobing, or cumulative problematic effects, is definitely gone. I'm gonna work backwards into other expacs as well
