Tis the season to be jolly..
Great watching the new flock of baby bunnies on the drive.
So cute and playful as they reach for the tastiest bit of holly.

A little experiment on my phone:
Capturing the midgies swirling in a beam of sunlight on the drive.
Natural light (no flash) and no idea what focal length to set for micro close ups as they dance within the 2 foot beam of sun, coupled with a fast exposure to hopefully capture them as sharp as possible.

Two of the iconic castles on the coast (there are several others too).
Bamburgh and Warkworth castles, homes of various Scottish and English kings and Dukes of Northumberland and senior nobility since the 12th/13th centuries (much earlier for Bamburgh, which today is owned by the Armstrong's (of Cragside fame))

The ram’s horn squid (Spirula spirula) apparently one of the most elusive cephalopods. This tiny squid is only three inches long, lives in deep regions of the ocean, but occasionally the tiny delicate shells wash up.
