"Republicans received 92 percent of $3.7 million in contributions affiliated with GEO Group and 96 percent of the $785,000 in contributions affiliated with CoreCivic, according to #OpenSecrets, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research group that tracks official disclosures. When Trump won, the two companies gave $500,000 each to his inaugural committee.

Even though the industry kept profiting from the Biden administration — despite a supposed ban on private prisons — one advocate said it was clear to her why companies went all-in on Trump."

I’ve been getting non-stop ads from Amazon (like the below) trying to sell their WiFi router for prime day.

If it seem like they’re just trying to get rid of them, it might not be far off. Ted Cruz added a provision to the Big Beautiful Bill that directs the FCC to possibly auction off the part of the spectrum that makes WiFi 6 & 7 possible.

So how do those who cherish this fantasy imagine the nation can feed itself when it deports all those lazy freeloading immigrants and no one is left to harvest the crops that feed us?

Why, the answer's obvious, isn't it? Once you kick all those other freeloaders off Medicaid, they'll be happy to take the jobs left behind by deported immigrants.

Won't they? As Robyn says, these fantasists might try doing some math.
