uhg.. I tried out some new keycaps on my board and now it looks really good, but it feels like mush..

They're much more silent and I guess that's a plus. But with the same material and the same manufacturer I'd have thought the feel would be a bit more samey 🤨

For the first time ever, I upgraded my desk setup to a > 30" monitor. This is just absolutely amazing :) (My previous Dell S2721DS 27" was broken and had a flickering backlight)

It's now a Lenovo T 32H-30 USB-C monitor with included hub.

My (Fedora Linux based) Laptops are connected via a Lenovo Thunderbolt 4 Dock and that is daisy-chained via USB-C to the new monitor.

Soo much ports :-)

Very satisfied with that desk setup. For Productivity, work *and* gaming :)

Good morning. 🛌☕🚗

12 July 2025

Waking up in Vicksburg, Mississippi this morning, I just came up from downstairs with two cups of coffee and a vague hope of coming alive. That may or may not happen—I only slept about six hours. The desk in our room is parked right next to the air conditioner, which is currently blasting my right side like it holds a grudge. It’s really, really annoying. I won’t dock the hotel too many points for that, but I’ll probably mention it as a small grievance. There, I got up and turned it off.

Last night we ate at a Chinese buffet, though I tried to talk my wife into Italian … c’est la vie. On the bright side, the food was actually pretty terrible. The place seemed fairly popular, though—nestled among a cluster of hotels, like a trap for weary, unsuspecting travelers.

The #fan of the #PoE+ #HAT of the #node on my #desk has a rebellious ball bearing. So sometimes when it spins up it makes shitty noise. Took me a bit longer than I'd like to admit what was wrong. But just now replaced the #RaspberryPi PoE+ HAT. And it looks like the HAT got some small changes:

My newly dual-headed Atari 520ST system.

I've had this 520STm 4MB color setup for some years now, but recently expanded it, as I had long been wanting to.

I've just added an SM124 (very sharp) monochrome 72Hz 640x400 display (switching between it and the SC1224 RGB display with a MonitorMaster switchbox that I acquired new about 10 years ago for this eventual purpose). I also have just added an ACSI2STM SD card-based HD emulator.

The stand is an A520 STation, which is a fairly rare item (I've never seen another in use).
