We've got some weird hashtag economy I realize. If #BoomerShooter gets overpowered by #RetroFPS for instance, I can switch to that. The words might change but my interests and intentions shouldn't based on that, I would think.

I'm trying to get better about not making EVERY SINGLE THING for my game, so I found this Lesser Lovecraftian Horror model by np-dev to use a statue... then spent 5 hours making the low poly version.

When not being used to pin enemies to the wall, the Time Vampire can act as a DIY staircase building kit to shortcut parts of the map or reach secrets. The flamethrower alt-fire also provides a lot of mobility.

The Time Vampire in KOOK is probably my favorite weapon. Not only can it put enemies in slow motion to make it easier to pin them to the wall, but you can use the spikes as a makeshift stairway to explore the map and find shortcuts and secrets!

It's Thursday! New video of some old development clips of KOOK. Again, don't hate me for some of the stuff in here -- it was a different time back then.
One of the driving factors behind KOOK was to make a game with that Quake-like retro pixelart texture look but also have per-texel self shadowing so textures all looked like they were authored for the lighting they were in.

New enemy for KOOK, my retro FPS: The hug bug. How such a creature could even exist defies logic, given its explosively unstable composition, but it probably won't be the strangest thing you see.

The cultist ring leader & followers. His dangle bell will alert nearby enemies, so don't let him run around too long! Using books to deal with cultists can be very effective!
