Yes. UK is making itself a laughing stock arresting these peaceful, & often elderly, protestors trying to bring attention to terrible wrongs. Your wider point makes clear how broader harms arise from this ridiculous situation:

My local iteration of the #NoKings event went off without a hitch. Minimal confrontation, no violence, and an all-around peaceful event. The sign I had printed, which I carried around, now hangs on my bedroom wall.
