Dach:
- Netgear LTE Router
- Unifi WIFI Access Point
- Unifi Switch

Keller:
- Unifi Switch
- Unifi Cloud Gateway (UCG)
- Gasfaser ONT an WAN 1 von UCG

@socketwench If you want to go #minimalist, you could try a #Pi0W2 with a keyboard & screen.

  • But yeah unless you want a craptastic #amd64 mini PC with seperate power bricks, then the #Pi500 should be a good option.

I just wished there was like a proper #Setup for @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS #Desktop for it that also allows setting up #LVM-based #FullDiskEncryption on #RaspberryPi

@StarkRG nodds in agreeement In a #classroom-like #setup we'd more likely see some centralized, self-hosted #managment solution like #Landscape or #RustDesk being used.

  • I can see why they did this: It's clearly inspired by tools like #AnyDesk and I do have to applaud them for that.

And if this acts similar to #WebCall and merely acts as a "Rendrevous-Server" then traffic and thus costs should be quite low.

I'd still hope they #OpenSource the #Backend so that there's another competitor to #Dayon and #RustDesk available...

  • In the meantime just setting up a sudo admin user with #Pubkey-only auth on #SSH is likely the way to do some admin stuff.

Maybe one day @RaspberryPi will even add #PXE - #NetBoot capabilities to their #RaspberryPi and thus allow for #DisklessWorkstation - Setups, saving a crapton on #MicroSD cards that are prone to get lost and/or stolen...

I‘m currently preparing the DIY setup for my new gravelbike (8bar TFLSBERG V3 steel).

Questions I have:
- Should I stick to black or add some colorful pieces?
- Which tires should I buy?
- Is there any insurance for self-assembled bicycles?

What I know for sure is that I’ll go for the Shimano GRX 820 1-12 group, RedShift shockstop stem, tubeless wheels, SON-dynamo & light as well as an old leather saddle.

Any recommendations for seatposts, tubeless-milk, bartape, chain-wax, usb-plugs, pedals (different click system) or handy gadgets are welcome!

uhg.. I tried out some new keycaps on my board and now it looks really good, but it feels like mush..

They're much more silent and I guess that's a plus. But with the same material and the same manufacturer I'd have thought the feel would be a bit more samey 🤨
