#Smoke from Canadian #wildfires continued to prompt #AirQuality alerts Monday in the #Northeast #US as well as the Upper #Midwest.
#Michigan saw a statewide #air quality advisory on Monday, & while #Minnesota is seeing some relief, the #WildfireSmoke is persisting in #Wisconsin, & spreading across #NewYork, #Vermont, & #Maine.

Then again, why bother? Every Main Street in Minnesota already feels like a perfectly staged diorama of his novel. No admission fee required.

Do #meteorologists not know that mid is short for middle? I live in St Louis. Middle of the god damn country. And yet I constantly read news reports that stay dangerous storms tore through the #Midwest. Omg, where? South Dakota. Wisconsin. Michigan. That is NOT Midwest.

A relentless & intensifying #HeatWave is expanding across the central & eastern #UnitedStates this week, bringing well-above-average heat to millions of people from the #Midwest to the #EastCoast & prompting #health advisories across several states.
After pushing #temperatures to around 100°F in parts of #Illinois #Iowa, #Michigan, #Minnesota, #Nebraska & #SouthDakota on Saturday, the heat is expected to continue over the Midwest & shift eastward on Sunday.
